The Talent Behind “Lullabies for Lil’ Christians”
“Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs” (previously known as "Lullabies for Lil' Christians") was produced and developed by some extremely talented musicians. Our soloist, Christy Suggett, is herself the daughter of minister parents, and grew up singing and playing praise music since she was knee high. As an adult, she has many outstanding musical accomplishments. Christy Suggett was the featured vocal artist on KHOU’s “Great Day Houston”, shortly after representing Texas as a National Finalist in the Colgate Country Showdown in Nashville, TN. In 2005, she was the winner of KPRC-Houston’s “Gimme the Mic”. Christy wowed baseball fans in 2006 when she sang the National Anthem for the Houston Astros game during opening week. Since then, she has been very busy as lead vocalist of the outstanding private performing band “The Works.” Being the featured vocalist on “Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs” is a natural and cherished accomplishment in her flourishing career. It is the perfect showcase for her love of God, music, and children.
Additionally, the beautiful cello sounds you hear performed on “Whispering Angels” and “All Through the Night” are provided live by the talented David Zeger. He has performed with YANNI’S world renowned orchestra. Today, he is settled with his family in Houston, TX and has been performing with the Houston Ballet Orchestra for over 20 years. His wife, Ruth is talented as well, and is a violinist with the Houston Symphony Orchestra.
Guiding the entire production of “Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs” was the musically accomplished Bill Cabrera. In addition to being a producer of “Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs,” Bill is proficient on the piano, harmonica, and the guitar. His first love is definitely the guitar. He has played and taught guitar for over 40 years, and currently teaches here in Houston. Bill is also a very talented song writer. He has written over 100 songs, including the collaboration of three new songs featured on “Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs.” Bill has performed with the Praise and Worship Band of the Methodist Church of the Woodlands. On his first CD featuring his own compositions, he attracted an incredible collection of musicians, in addition to himself. These included Rob Suddeth and Marvin McFaddin of Huey Lewis and the News, Norton Buffalo of The Steve Miller Band, and Stu Blank of Van Morrison. Bill has performed all over the world, including Spain, Italy, Switzerland, the Caribbean, Latin America, and of course, his very own USA. We are very blessed to have his talented musical ears and knowledge guide the production of “Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs”.
We are also very fortunate to have Matthew Ellias as a producer on the Whispering Angels, LLC team. He is the featured guitarist, heard and enjoyed on “Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs” and the recording engineer, running the board in the studio during production. Matthew received a Bachelor of Music Degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusettes, in 1982. In the late ‘70’s he took his classical talents on the road, and traveled around the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico with the “Good & Plenty Showband”. After graduating, he performed with several show bands, until moving to Los Angeles, California to pursue a studio session career in 1985. While in L.A. he performed in a duo with noted Jazz Vocalist Sandra Booker (receiving rave reviews from Drama Logue Magazine) and began arranging music for horn sections in L.A. and Las Vegas. His arranging talents were put to excellent use on the lullaby selections of “Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs.” Currently, Matthew is a full time private guitar teacher and plays guitar and arranges music for one of Houston’s top private party bands, “The Works”.
Piloting the vision and shepherding Whispering Angels, LLC, we have Ann Wynn, Executive Producer. Ann graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989. Her interest in medicine and psychology led her to a career in pharmaceutical sales. She enjoyed 15 successful years in pharmaceuticals. During that time, she was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Katie and Natalie, who share their mom’s passion and talent for music. After leaving pharmaceutical sales, Ann knew God was guiding her to a new career, although she didn’t know quite what it was. After much prayer and thought, it became clear that God wanted her to utilize her top three passions in life, God, music and children, to create a lullaby CD, building on the lullaby she had written 11 years prior, “Babies Won’t Keep”, when her second daughter was born. Ann is also a Children’s Leader with BSF International, teaching a love of God’s word to pre-school aged children.
God put together an outstanding team of talented individuals to create the beautiful music you and your children can now enjoy on “Lullabies for Lil’ Lambs.” We aren’t even offended when you fall asleep while listening – we consider it a compliment!
Blessings and sweet dreams,
Whispering Angels, LLC
